Course Places

Courses will contain a minimum of 4 participants and a maximum of 16 participants for the online training. Photovoice Worldwide restricts attendees from the same organisation to a maximum of 3 to ensure that the curriculum and interactive activities can address multiple perspectives and project ideas. Tailored trainings to meet specific organizational needs for 4 or more staff from the same organization can be arranged separately.

Cancellation

Photovoice Worldwide reserves the right to cancel courses and change course and workshop dates at any time without liability; in this event you can transfer your booking to another date or receive a full refund of the fee paid.

If you have to cancel your place but have found someone to replace you, no cancellation fee will be charged.

If you wish to cancel or transfer to another date no charge will apply up to 4 weeks before the course or workshop start-date. Please note: if you transfer your place to a subsequent date, you cannot receive a refund if you cancel the new date.

The following charges will apply if you wish to cancel:

Up to 4 weeks prior to the event – No cancellation charge

• 2-4 weeks prior to the event – 50%
• Within 2 weeks of the event – 100%
• Non attendance on the day – 100%

Payment

Payment should be made in advance of the start-date for the course or workshop. Registration through our online system is made through PayPal, which accepts payments by debit card, credit card, or bank transfer. We encourage early registration to reserve your place.

Individuals who need to have a separate invoice in order to accommodate funder requirements, should contact us at team@pvww.org. We can send an individual invoice for course registration through PayPal, QuickBooks, or as an email attachment.

Uploading materials

Materials uploaded by Photovoice Worldwide to Dropbox or Google Drive during the workshop or course will be available to all registered individuals. All copyright for content provided as part of the course belongs to Photovoice Worldwide. No materials uploaded by participants to the online course folders will be shared by Photovoice Worldwide outside course sessions without the written permission of the individual. Content uploaded from Photovoice Worldwide that specifically relates to the course will remain available for a period of eight weeks  after the course has been completed, after which point the content will be deleted. We encourage participants to download relevant course content before the 8-week deadline.

Copyright and intellectual property

All course content remains the property of Photovoice Worldwide, and cannot be shared without express permission. The course provides information which enables practitioners and facilitators to run their own courses and activities in photovoice and participatory photography. However, the materials shared by Photovoice Worldwide should not be used in these activities without written permission, as they are provided for registered attendees of the course only.

Credit and attribution

After completion of the course, attendees are entitled to describe themselves as photovoice facilitators, but are not entitled to describe themselves as Photovoice Worldwide facilitators. Any projects or activities which result from our courses are the responsibility of the individual organisations and facilitators running them. Photovoice Worldwide cannot be held responsible for any activities designed or facilitated by those attending the course.

Individuals who have completed the course are free to state that they have completed a Photovoice Worldwide training course. Certificates will be issued to attendees who successfully complete all the modules of the professional development course or workshop.

By registering for the course, you agree to these terms and conditions, and agree to abide by them, regardless of whether any institutional policies or practices may have different terms and conditions.
